It's bad enough to cheat on your partner, but it's even worse to deceive him about his parental status. The biological father misses out on seeing his child grow up, and the child and your boyfriend will be devastated if the truth comes out later, and it usually does. The child could still be very different to him, and he may suspect and ask for a DNA test.
They're stupid and have never heard of birth control. They could also be trying to get with one guy to take care of them and when that plan fails, they go back to their boyfriend under the guise that he is the father or because they are embarrassed to their friends and parents about screwing their guys behind their boyfriend's back and needing to cover it up, so they play this game and claim it is his. Perhaps they should try getting a job or starting a business.
They have been getting away with it. and it makes me sick.

It's only D.N.A evidence which is exposing women who do this for the fraudsters they are and the sooner the law starts to treat it as that the better!





EDIT - You are right. It's only in the minority of cases where a D.N.A test is ordered, because indicating distrust in your wife would mean the relationship is over. Of course, the fact that 1 in 25 (rising to up to 1 in 3 for certain parts of the U.K)fathers may be unwittingly raising another mans child should mean a woman could forgive a father for wanting proof, although this is not the case. As a result D.N.A tests are only really ordered where the relationship has already broken down, only then can he actually acknowledge his suspicions (even at this time he will be accused of just trying to avoid child support) The 'father' even has to pay for it himself!


No one will ever convince me this practice of duping men is acceptable, the whole point of having children for a man is to ensure the continuation of your blood line - to make sure your genetic code continues. In any event basing a childs life on a lie is not the right thing to do for the child.


I do wholly respect men wh make the conscious choice to raise anothers children but it needs to be just that - A CONSCIOUS CHOICE.
You might be able to get away with it, but it's wrong. Besides, if you cheat on you boyfriend and have no guilt when allowing him to raise someone else's kid, that relationship probably won't last too long...
It's possible that the facial structure is very different, or if the time tables are wrong and you didn't have sex around the time you got pregnant. Also, through DNA testing, if he wanted it, would show it.

There are studies that suggest 1 in 5 men are bringing up children that they think are theirs, but are not. Our socitey is ****** up. If I was a father today I'd have a dna test done as a matter of course.
DNA test ? Who knows maybe he is the suspicius kind of person and does a DNA test behind your back and then.... well then depends on the kind of person you just falsely told he is a father.
LMAO Funny ! Well all local hospitals in my state automatically run a paternity test before anyone signs the birth certificate so that is no longer an option.
Yeah it can. You're right a guy would rarely order a DNA test. It sucks. I hope not too many women are that dishonest though.

Yes, women can easily get away with this. Many do, in fact. I regard it to be a sort of emotional rape. It's a terrible thing to do to a person, and a terrible way to bring a child into the world.

I'm tired right now and can't do any better than Wikipedia, but there is a lot of information online about paternity fraud. It's difficult to find any conclusive statistics or evidence about paternity fraud, but it's definitely something that is much more common than most people realize. Most stats I've seen put the rate of paternity fraud at 15-25%.
