Why do the umpires get away with Cheating?

I have noticed watching many baseball games, from all teams, and both leagues that umpires are way too biased! I dont know why....i read an article stating that its a racist bias, but nothing seems to be done about it. Sometimes its just so unfair!! In all my games, I noticed that the Chicago Cubs are almost always (more often than not) being favored. I mean, yea they do have good pitchers here and there and some batters are great, but there are those crazy calls by the home plate umps. I asked somebody and they said it had to do with Umpire bets and such. I dont know how true that is but it makes me wonder.

My real question: Why and how do they get away with it? I mean they get an amazing salary! I think there should be a system in which we should use the square meter that determines whether its a strike or ball on the screen and base it on that as opposed to such crazy calls by the home umpire. Shouldnt the majors be involved somehow to control this in a more fair way. Im not a high paid exec or anything but even I can come up with better and more fair ideas.

Any suggestions? Why do the umpires get away with Cheating?
The umpires already use a standardized system like the one displayed on TV (which isn't always accurate). This system is called QuesTec, and it's used at some, not all, MLB parks. It uses a couple of advanced cameras to accurately determine the location of the ball. After games, MLB umps are shown their performance compared to the QuesTec calls. In other words, such regulated strike zone calling is used, but not to such a degree where we rely completely on mechanized officiating.

If an ump is found to have gambled on games, that ump is going to be fired. Remember the NBA's controversy when Tim Donoghey was caught making unfair calls? That's what would happen in baseball. If an ump is performing poorly, he/she is is sent to the minor leagues and a minor league ump is promoted. There are enough umpires around that the MLB can probably get rid of anyone being biased. That being said, the umpires tend to be right the vast majority of the time. Why do the umpires get away with Cheating?
I am a White Sox fan, so I will be the first to point out a biased call for the Cubs. I just can't agree with you on that.
Whoa there......

Right now, it seems you are venting your frustration. Umpires are not cheating this much. Not many baseball fans want computers and technology to determine calls.......they want umpires, like baseball always has been. A computer making calls will tarnish baseball.

Also, these umpires have less than a second to make these decisions. They are human and make mistakes. So while you sit on your butt at home watching, with the convenience of instant replay and slow motion, these umps work to get the right call. They need to make a quick call.

One more point is that TV angles make it hard to determine where a pitch actually is. When a catcher lines up outside the plate, the viewers on TV can't see that. So when the catcher doesn't move his mitt at all, it looks to be a strike, but since the catcher is lined up outside the plate, it really is a ball.

And a computer will slow the game down as well.

Just keep baseball the same, umpires are not cheating as you say they are.
