Why is it professional football players who 'dive' are not branded cheats?

Let's face it whilst it may be the minority of players many currently in the English Premiership and renowned for 'diving' to get free kicks and penalties. How a 15 stone, 6 foot 2 inch professional sports person can be pushed over by contact not much more stronger than a breeze is a joke. Why do they get away with it, they are cheating and should be shamed as such and possibly banned for a nmber of weeksWhy is it professional football players who 'dive' are not branded cheats?
As much as it is wrong to dive, it is equally wrong to call some who dived a cheat. Why is it professional football players who 'dive' are not branded cheats?
You just have to go to Man u any week to see their antics. If there was a swimming pool you could see their point. Ronaldo would be the world diving champion!
because the fa aint gt the guts to say a brilliant player that every1 admires is a cheat and if you look at another sport like rugby 4 example they use loads of officals and can say when a player has done wrong but in football they use about 2 and i agree that they should gt banned 4 a number of weeks or maby even months. Also i think they should all be ashamed of them selfs as it isn't setting a good example 4 the younger generation of footballers.

Hope this answered your question. xx
I think you'll find an increasing number of fans branding divers as cheats. Especially when their own team are on the receiving end of a ';dive';. Doubtful if this will stop the practice though.
Sadly, that's the way things are. With 22 people to watch, the referee can't always get it right, even with the linesmen. Unless you hook up a tiny camera to the ref to provide him instant replay or something, he can't always get it right. As for punishment for divers....A yellow at the very least, and a match suspension at the worst.
i am a rugby fan and looking in from the outside.we do have a laugh at these clowns who fall over if someone breathes on them...as i';ve said before why not sin bin them like in rugby?it certainly embarasses them ...every other sport in the world uses technology these days....why the game of football doesn';t....is one of mankinds greatest mysteries....
The inevitable consequence of turning a sport into a business.
